“Poppy” Giclée Fine Art Print Limited Edition 16" x 16"

Poppy the Bear was created as a collaborative piece between my dad and I for the I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival in Santa Barbara. We wanted to reinterpret the iconic California bear—known for its strength and bold presence—through a softer, more expressive lens.

To achieve this, we transformed the bear’s fur into flowing California poppies and leaves, blending strength with femininity and grace. The floral elements introduce movement and warmth, while still honoring the power and symbolism of the bear. Executed in our signature pop art abstract style, the piece bursts with vibrant color, layered texture, and dynamic energy unique to chalk as a medium.

The result is a joyful balance of bold and gentle—a celebration of California, collaboration, and creativity, captured in a colorful, contemporary chalk drawing.

This limited edition fine art print measures 16” × 16” and includes a 1” white border printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 premium fine art paper made from 100% cotton. Each print is individually numbered, titled, and signed by both artists. The edition is limited to 200 prints.
