“Sparky” Giclée Fine Art Print Limited Edition 16" x 16"
Sparky is a bold celebration of freedom, strength, and the untamed spirit of the natural world. Inspired by the commanding presence of a hawk and reimagined through a vibrant palette of expressive color, this striking portrait captures the intelligence, determination, and quiet confidence that make birds of prey such captivating symbols of vision and resilience.
Originally created as a large-scale chalk pastel artwork for Hollister Elementary School's Annual Chalk Festival in Santa Barbara, California, Sparky reflects my dad and I's passion for transforming familiar subjects into dynamic works of art. Through layers of vivid blues, fiery oranges, radiant yellows, and rich magentas, we sought to convey not only the physical beauty of the hawk but also the energy and spirit that lies beneath its watchful gaze.
The intricate feather patterns blend realism with artistic expression, creating a modern and colorful interpretation that feels both powerful and uplifting. Set against a warm golden background, Sparky commands attention while inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty, courage, and independence found throughout nature. The hawk's piercing eye serves as a focal point, symbolizing vision, focus, and the strength to soar above life's challenges.
